  • $80,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Company truck Paid time off On-the-job training Tools provided Qualifications Field service equipment repair Customer communication Certified Pool Operator Direct client contact Schedule management Project leadership Full Job Description About the Role Haven is seeking a highly skilled, well-rounded Pool Service & Equipment Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on field position with a management component — the right candidate will be equally comfortable installing equipment on a new construction site, walking a homeowner through their new pool system, and diagnosing a tricky equipment issue on a service call. If you take pride in your craft and genuinely enjoy working with customers, we want to talk to you. What You'll Do
  • Perform equipment installations on new pool construction projects
  • Handle service calls, warranty work, and equipment repairs in the field
  • Troubleshoot a wide range of pool equipment and automation systems
  • Program, commission, and service Hayward systems and equipment (primary brand), with working knowledge of other major manufacturers
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors involved in the pool service phase of projects
  • Lead customer handoffs at project completion — educating homeowners on their new pool systems and ensuring they feel confident before you leave the job
  • Deliver exceptional customer service on every visit, from first install to follow-up repair What We're Looking For
  • Strong hands-on experience with pool equipment installation, service, and repair — this is the most important qualification
  • Solid knowledge of pool automation systems, with Hayward experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment across multiple brands and system types
  • Familiarity with pool construction and the new build process is a plus
  • Understanding of pool cleaning, chemical maintenance, and general service needs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills — you represent Haven in the field every day
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate with the broader project team
  • Self-starter who can manage their schedule and work independently Preferred Experience
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or similar certification preferred but not required
  • Experience with Hayward, Pentair, Jandy, or comparable systems
  • Background in both construction-phase and service-phase pool work Why Haven We're a growing company that does quality work and stands behind it.
This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to be a key part of how our customers experience the end of their build — which is one of the most important moments in the entire project.
