Job Description

Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Pool Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for opening and closing pools, performing routine maintenance, installing liners, and replacing pool equipment to ensure our clients' pools are in top condition. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Opening and Closing Pools :
Open and close pools seasonally, including proper winterization and start-up procedures.
Routine Pool Maintenance :
Perform regular cleaning of pools, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and ensuring chemical balance (chlorine, pH, alkalinity).
Equipment Replacement & Repairs :
Replace or repair pool equipment (e.g., pumps, filters, heaters, etc.) as needed.
Liner Installation :
Install and replace pool liners, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
Water Chemistry :
Test and adjust pool water chemistry to maintain proper balance and ensure safe swimming conditions.
Customer Communication :
Provide excellent customer service by discussing service issues, maintenance schedules, and any additional recommendations with clients.
Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of services performed, including chemical readings, maintenance checks, and any repairs or installations.
Troubleshooting :
Identify and address issues with pool equipment or systems, ensuring timely solutions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in pool service, maintenance, or repair is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters) and water chemistry. Ability to open and close pools in accordance with seasonal requirements. Experience installing and replacing pool liners . Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Customer service experience and ability to communicate effectively with clients. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided). Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs). Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in pool operation or maintenance (e.g., Certified Pool Operator or CPO certification). Experience with basic plumbing and electrical systems.
