Porter - Cedar Knolls

$250 SIGN-ON BONUS!!! North Jersey Friendship House is Urgently Hiring a porter (janitorial position) to work in Cedar Knolls, NJ. Ideal candidates must be friendly, be a self-starter, able to take direction well. The Porter will be responsible for cleaning areas of the building to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Shift:

Monday through Friday - 4 Day Hours (7:30 am - 11:30 am)

Essential Functions Include:

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using specific cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Any other duties deemed necessary for the cleanliness of the building.

Requirements:

Minimum:

1-year previous janitorial experience preferred. Ability to handle multiple projects. MUST have reliable transportation to and from the work site. North Jersey Friendship House is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
