Fulltime Postdoctoral Fellow - Methods and Applications in
Epidemiology Position Overview:
A postdoctoral position is available in the Biostatistics and Computational Biology Branch (BCBB) at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, NIH, in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, under Dr. Clarice Weinberg . The successful candidate will help develop methods to address problems in genetic, cancer, reproductive and/or environmental epidemiology. He/she will have the opportunity to work with data from a family-based study and large cohort projects. In methodologic work, we are interested in the use of genetic data to study epistasis and gene-by-environment interaction, in developing methods for estimating propensity for pregnancy complications, and approaches for studying etiologic heterogeneity. However, research topics are not limited to those, and candidates with different topics of interest are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have or be very close to obtaining a Ph.D. in biostatistics or epidemiology (with a strong interest in methods), or in a closely related area. Programming skill is required. Excellent communication skills and fluency in both spoken and written English are essential.
