Powder Coat Painter (Paint Booth)
Afternoons Shift:
3:00 PM - 11:00
PM Rate:
$18 - $24/hourly Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our manufacturing team on afternoon shift. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to metal components within a controlled paint booth environment. Your expertise will ensure durable, smooth finishes that meet strict quality standards, contributing to the production of top-tier products. This position offers an energetic work atmosphere where precision and efficiency drive success, and every painted piece plays a vital role in our manufacturing process. Responsibilities Prepare metal parts and assemblies for coating by cleaning, masking, and handling materials with care using hand tools and materials handling equipment. Operate airless paint spraying equipment and other power tools to apply powder coatings evenly across surfaces. Maintain the paint booth environment, ensuring proper ventilation, cleanliness, and adherence to safety protocols. Use precision measuring instruments and basic math skills to verify dimensions and coating thicknesses for quality assurance. Manage fabrication tasks such as assembly or minor auto body repairs as needed to support production flow. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in coating processes. Experience Prior experience in industrial or automotive painting, especially with powder coating applications in a manufacturing setting. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, machining, welding, and auto body repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction or industrial painting techniques and the use of hand tools and power tools. Must be able to wear an N-95 mask and/or respirator at all times. Contract to Hire after 30-60 days
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
