Job Description

Summary The TPC Floater is a multifunctional production role responsible for washing, finishing powder coating, and packing steel parts to meet quality and shipping requirements. The position rotates between Wash, Powder Coater, and Packing stations as production needs dictate. Essential Functions
    Wash:
    Remove parts from skids/boxes, power-wash using appropriate compounds, place parts on hooks/racks, operate dryers, inspect for cleanliness and prepare for coating.
      Powder Coat/Paint:
      Receive washed parts, load correct powder/paint, operate powder coat booth and applicator, secure booth, bake parts in walk-in ovens per job specs, use respirator and follow required fit/test procedures, perform routine booth maintenance.
        Pack:
        Remove baked/finished parts from racks, pack per instructions (bubble wrap, boxes, skids, carriers, shrink-wrap), attach packing info, enter shipping/packing data into computer, and move product to shipping area by forklift.
        • Maintain cleanliness and organization of hooks, racks, tools, and work areas.
        • Load and maintain wash and powder materials; report/perform basic equipment maintenance.
        • Follow blueprints, job packets, MSDS, safety policies, and supervisor instructions. Required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
        • Experience operating power washers, powder coat booths, ovens, forklifts, and basic computer systems preferred.
        • Respirator training, fit test, and pulmonary clearance required for powder coat duties (initial and annual).
        • Ability to read blueprints, job packets, safety documents and follow written/oral instructions.
        • Knowledge and consistent use of PPE and safe handling of chemicals.
        • Ability to perform physical tasks: stand long periods, lift/push/pull 5-200 lbs, bend, twist, and work in confined or high-heat environments. General Skill Requirements Adaptability

        Training Requirements Respirator Training, Respirator Fit Test and Pulmonary Lung test required for Powder Coat Position. Annual Training and Fit Test are also required.
