This opportunity is ideal for students who are eager to gain hands-on industry experience while enhancing the machining skills and knowledge developed in the classroom. This summer position offers valuable real-world exposure to manufacturing processes and workplace practices in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with more experienced team members and participate in training provided to improve skills and knowledge in assigned area. Report to work on-time with a positive attitude, follow the instructions of your team leader, and be ready to learn and accomplish tasks. Have a true desire and a focus toward your job. Gain a better understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary for a Machinist. Perform well by meeting supervision expectations on the shop floor. Ask relevant questions and ask for help with processes or tasks not understood. Communicate with your trainer. Be open and honest in communications. Implement and follow all safety and quality plans in accordance with company programs and policies.

Qualifications Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled in a high school vocational technical school in a Machine Technology related program. Must be in good academic standing at their school. Excellent math & mechanical skills/aptitude; and the ability & desire to do precision work is required. Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and machining is expected. If under the age of 18, must have a work permit Pre- co-ops are eligible for our corporate profit-sharing program!
