Aug 31, 2026 Job Description We are currently accepting applications for a Classroom Instructional Assistant who will support students in providing a joyful, faith-filled, and academically rigorous learning environment. St. Augustine School, located in downtown Andover, offers a high-quality Catholic education for over 400 students from Pre-K 3 through Grade 8. Primary Responsibilities Provide instructional support to the classroom teacher by assisting with lesson activities, transitions, and classroom routines. Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce skills and concepts introduced by the teacher. Assist in preparing learning materials, organizing classroom supplies, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Foster a welcoming, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment grounded in Christian values. Support students' social, emotional, and spiritual growth through modeling, encouragement, and participation in school faith experiences such as prayer, Mass, and service activities. Communicate positively and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues. Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred. Experience working with children in an educational setting. Kind, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Flexible, dependable, and eager to contribute to a faith-filled school community.
