Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre K Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool-aged children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early educational experiences. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with CT ELDS curriculum standards, including literacy, math, cognitive, creative, physical and social skills activities Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills Engage children in age -a ppropriate activities that promote early childhood development, including Montessori or other specialized educational approaches Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities , including those with autism or behavioral challenges Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress and classroom events Support classroom routines and transitions such as snack time, nap time, and outdoor play to ensure a structured day Collaborate on lesson plans and activties Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience with classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and engagement Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education strategies Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and preschoolers Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and connect with families Experience in daycare settings or private schools is preferred; Montessori or preschool experience is a plus Skills in behavior management and working with children requiring additional support for social or emotional growthJoin us in shaping the future by inspiring young minds! Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
