Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Pre-K Lead Teacher with childcare credentials, and an Associate's degree or higher to inspire and guide our preschoolers through their foundational learning experiences. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, development, and a love for learning. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth while adhering to best practices in early childhood education. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to support holistic childhood development. Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages positive behavior management and social skills among preschoolers. Lead daily lesson planning and adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of children, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote language development, fine and gross motor skills, and early literacy skills. Monitor each child's progress through observations and assessments, including standardized testing when applicable, to inform instruction and communicate with families effectively. Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a safe environment aligned with child welfare standards. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and best practices in early childhood education. Skills Proven experience in preschool teaching with strong classroom management skills. Expertise in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards. Knowledge of working with children requiring special education or early intervention support. Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members. Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively and foster positive classroom environments. Experience with toddler care, daycare settings, or private school environments is a plus.
