Pre-School Social Worker | Golden, Colorado

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This part-time Social Worker position involves providing specialized support within a Head Start program, focusing on preschool-aged children (PreK). The role is based in Golden, CO, and requires a commitment of 2 days per week, totaling 15 hours. The Social Worker will work closely with young children and families to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs, contributing to their overall development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct social work services to preschool-aged children and their families within a Head Start setting. Collaborate with educators and staff to support early childhood development goals. Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and offer counseling or resource referrals. Maintain accurate records and comply with program policies and state regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid State of Colorado Department of Education license for Social Work (CDE required). Experience working with Early Childhood populations, particularly preschool-age children. Previous experience within a Head Start program or similar early childhood education environment is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with families and multidisciplinary teams.
