Why This Role Matters Uptime and accuracy on CNC assets directly support critical programs for sea, land, air, and space. Your expertise keeps mills, lathes, routers, grinders, and machining centers producing at spec, safely and consistently. Cross-team collaboration ensures quality parts, on time, every time. Core Impact Areas Preventive maintenance planning and execution for CNC equipment. Root-cause troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Control-level diagnostics and parameter tuning on Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Yasda, and Mazak platforms.
Component health checks and replacements:
bearings, ball screws, spindles, belts, and servo motors. New equipment install, alignment, calibration, and commissioning. Accurate documentation of work performed, service histories, and maintenance logs. Partnering with production, engineering, and quality to resolve bottlenecks. Rigorous safety compliance, including lockout/tagout and company procedures. Continuous improvement ideas to increase machine availability and throughput. Must-Have Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in industrial maintenance/mechatronics preferred. 10+ years of CNC repair experience in manufacturing (with CNC maintenance focus strongly preferred). Proficiency in mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Experience with controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, and Mazak. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Use of precision metrology tools (micrometers, dial indicators, and diagnostic equipment). Self-starter who manages multiple priorities and communicates clearly. Must be a US Citizen. Preferred Profile Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field. OSHA 10/30 or
NFPA 70E
electrical safety training. Experience in aerospace/defense or other high-reliability environments. Familiarity with cleanroom and ESD protocols. PLC troubleshooting or basic programming (e.g., Fanuc). Tools & Technologies Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) 5+ axis VMCs (Fanuc, Matsuura) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) — Fanuc Servo motors Skills You Bring Mechanical troubleshooting CNC machine repair Electrical troubleshooting and repair Pneumatics troubleshooting Service orientation Maintenance and repair best practices Industrial electrical know-how Compensation, Schedule, and Perks In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $33.00 - $50.00 an hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
