This organization is deeply embedded in the hyperscale and colocation market and is experiencing continued growth driven by sustained demand for digital infrastructure.

They are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to take ownership of early‑stage planning, estimating, and coordination for complex data center programs. This role is critical in shaping project strategy, controlling risk, and ensuring projects are positioned for successful execution before ground is broken.

What You Will Be Responsible ForLeading the preconstruction phase for data center projects from concept through GMP and construction handoffManaging conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates, including cost modeling and value engineeringCoordinating with owners, consultants, and internal teams to align scope, schedule, and budgetDeveloping and managing RFPs, bid packages, and subcontractor pricingEvaluating subcontractor scopes, leveling bids, and participating in procurement strategySupporting design development with constructability reviews and cost feedbackCreating and maintaining preconstruction schedules and milestone planningIdentifying project risks, constraints, and opportunities early, with clear mitigation strategiesPresenting estimates, budgets, and assumptions to executive leadership and clientsSupporting transition from preconstruction into operations to ensure continuity and clarity for delivery teamsIdeal BackgroundExperience in preconstruction or estimating leadership on large commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical projectsData center experience strongly preferred, including exposure to MEP‑heavy scopes and fast‑paced delivery modelsStrong understanding of early‑stage budgeting, cost planning, and design coordinationProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously during preconstruction phasesComfortable interfacing with sophisticated clients, consultants, and trade partnersDetail‑oriented, analytical, and proactive problem solverTechnical ProfileStrong knowledge of estimating and preconstruction tools and workflowsExperience with design documentation, constructability reviews, and scope definitionSolid understanding of procurement strategies and subcontractor market conditionsProficiency with common construction and estimating software platformsWhy This Role Stands OutFocus on repeat, programmatic data center work, not one‑off projectsStable and growing pipeline in one of the strongest data center markets in the U.S.Opportunity to influence projects at the earliest stages and shape delivery outcomesCollaborative culture with direct access to decision‑makersCompetitive compensation package with long‑term career progression
