Preloader (Package Handler) / Backup Air Driver

Job Summary Join our dynamic logistics team as a Preloader (Package Handler) with the added responsibility of serving as a Backup Air Driver. In this energetic role, you'll be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring packages are efficiently loaded, unloaded, and organized to keep our delivery schedules on track. As a Backup Air Driver, you'll step into the driver's seat when needed, safely transporting packages via air freight to meet tight deadlines. Responsibilities Load and unload packages from trucks and containers using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners. Organize and stage shipments accurately for timely dispatch, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times. Use RF scanners to track inventory movement, update shipment statuses, and ensure accurate filing of shipping and receiving records. Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as sorting, shelving, and filing documents related to shipments. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment. Serve as a backup driver for air freight deliveries, preparing cargo for transport, securing loads properly, and driving safely to designated locations when called upon. Qualifications Prior warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes is highly preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout shifts. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate filing and inventory management. Experience using RF scanners for tracking shipments and inventory updates preferred. Knowledge of warehouse distribution procedures including load & unload operations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is desirable for backup air driving duties.
