WE NEED:

.. someone who knows the difference between a tablespoon and a teaspoon........ knows what a measuring cup is used for........someone who can and actually measure and follow a recipe each time even though they don't at home or their grandmother never did or that's not how they make it.... We need somebody not to burn the beans and if they do.... not to scrape the bottom of the pan.....somebody that understands gas stoves don't always have to be on high the whole time. .... someone who washes their hands, wears an apron without being told, cleans up after themselves and knows the importance of a clean kitchen.... knows what sweet milk is.... knows the difference between American & Cheddar Cheese. .... someone who cuts the stem out of tomatoes because "who want's to eat that"..... who closes the bread bags because bread goes stale.....

WE NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN & LOVES TO COOK.... AND CARES ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR FOOD.

Duties Prepare fresh ingredients and assist with food assembly to ensure timely service Follow recipes and menu plans to maintain consistency and quality in all dishes Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures Assist with cooking tasks, including frying, grilling, and plating meals Support the kitchen team in meal preparation for dine-in, takeout, and catering orders Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts Assist with food service duties such as serving guests when needed Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly valued Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting Excellent teamwork and communication skills Basic understanding of menu planning and meal preparation processes Join us at The Blue Rooster where your culinary passion fuels our success!
