Job Summary:
The Prepared Foods / Loss Prevention Manager leads all aspects of prepared foods operations, including product quality, merchandising, inventory control, and pricing accuracy. This role is responsible for planning, ordering, and preparing fresh, high-quality products that drive sales and profitability while maintaining company standards. This position also plays a key role in cost control and loss prevention by managing shrink, including the strategic use of near-date and excess inventory in prepared food production to minimize waste and protect margins.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily department operations, including production, merchandising, and inventory
  • Hire, train, schedule, and develop department associates
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, rotation, and display of products
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance
  • Monitor margins, control costs, and support profitability goals
  • Deliver excellent customer service and create an inviting department experience
  • Plan promotions, sampling events, and "grab-and-go" offerings
  • Identify and address shrink, waste, and operational inefficiencies
Qualifications:
  • Previous prepared foods, deli, or food service management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and inventory management
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Compensation:
$18
  • 24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Candidates with the ability to oversee multiple fresh departments may be considered for higher compensation.
