Preschool Assistant

Duties Assist the lead teacher in maintaining a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment Support children during afternoon and end-of-day routines, including transitions, snack, cleanup, and departure Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization throughout the day and during closing procedures Assist with classroom activities, play-based learning experiences, and daily routines Help ensure all children are supervised and cared for in accordance with program policies and licensing regulations Communicate effectively with team members regarding classroom needs and daily updates Support a calm, positive, and welcoming environment for children and families during pickup times Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children preferred Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain professionalism in a childcare setting Ability to multitask and assist in maintaining a structured classroom environment Willingness to learn and follow program policies and procedures Passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development
