Full-time Early Childhood Education Center Assistant Director Sewanee Children's Center, Sewanee, TN Full-Time Start Date:
July 27, 2026 Sewanee Children's Center is seeking a warm, organized, and highly dependable Assistant Director to help lead the daily operations of our thriving early childhood center. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare or education professional who enjoys both working with young children and supporting the systems that keep a Center running smoothly. The Assistant Director works closely with the Director and plays a key role in the following responsibilities.
  • supporting staff and classroom ratios
  • managing daily schedules
  • maintaining licensing compliance
  • assisting families
  • coordinating after-school programming
  • and helping create a positive, nurturing, child-centered environment where children and teachers flourish The Sewanee Children's Center serves children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old in our infant, toddler, and preschool programs, along with kindergarten through third grade students in our after-school program. In all our programs we are committed to:

  • and a caring school community.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory requirement)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field
  • Previous supervisory or administrative experience
  • Familiarity with Tennessee DHS childcare regulations munity Chest.
Pay:
$680.00
  • $760.
00 per week
