Job Description
Job Summary The incumbent in this position is responsible for collaborating with Teachers and Instructional Leaders to develop and implement curriculum strategies and methodologies intended for students with special needs. The individual assists in the implementation of classroom instructional programs, including self-help and behavior management. The individual develops, writes and revises manuals to support training structure for the Exceptional Student Education Program and provides technical assistance for teachers and parents regarding curriculum, child development, assessment, classroom management. Bachelor's degree in Education with a valid teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education in addition to Exceptional Student Education (ESE) is required. Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of school counseling experience, which includes addressing the developmental needs of students or experience working with school-age children in an educational environment is required. Demonstrated stress management skills required. Ability to deliver a comprehensive, school counseling program that encourages all students' academic and personal/social development is required. Demonstrate ability to deliver a comprehensive Preschool Program, providing high quality instruction matched to an individual student's need. Demonstrate computer literacy in Microsoft Office software programs. Demonstrate excellent English written and verbal skills. Incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and travel to all Seminole Reservations.
