Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher / Assistant Director to join our team. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners while supporting the overall management of our preschool program. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development, combined with excellent communication skills and a genuine love for working with children. In this role, you will foster a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional growth, ensuring each child's unique needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development. Manage classroom activities to promote positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies. Provide direct care and instruction for children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support early intervention strategies when needed. Assist in overseeing daily operations of the preschool, including staff coordination, lesson planning, and maintaining a nurturing environment conducive to learning. Support special education initiatives by adapting lessons for children with diverse learning needs and implementing individualized plans. Conduct assessments using standardized testing where appropriate to monitor developmental milestones and educational progress. Skills Extensive experience in early childhood education, including preschool experience and daycare settings. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education methodologies. Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers care and Montessori approaches. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Competence in lesson planning, teaching physical education, tutoring, and utilizing standardized testing tools. Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and child welfare standards.
