President/CEO

The President/CEO serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Brown County Chamber of Commerce, providing leadership, vision, and hands-on management to support a vibrant and growing business community. Working closely with the Board and Executive Team, the President/CEO leads initiatives that promote business success, foster community partnerships, and support the development and growth of the business community across Brown County. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy

• Partner with the Board and Executive Team to implement the Chamber's strategic vision and priorities.
• Identify opportunities to grow and enhance Chamber programs, services, and member value.
• Support long-term planning efforts aligned with the needs of the local business community. Membership & Community Engagement
• Lead efforts to grow, retain, and engage Chamber membership.
• Serve as a visible and approachable leader, building strong relationships with businesses, community partners, and stakeholders.
• Actively participate in and represent the Chamber at events, meetings, and community functions. Advocacy & Partnerships
• Build and maintain relationships with local officials, organizations, and regional partners.
• Advocate for initiatives that support a positive business climate and economic growth. Travel & Tourism Promotion
• Promote and support Brown County Travel & Tourism, working with local businesses and partners to enhance visibility and attract visitors. Operations & Financial Oversight
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Ensure responsible financial management and transparency.
• Identify sponsorships, partnerships, and revenue opportunities to support Chamber initiatives. Marketing, Communications & Events
• Lead communications efforts including newsletters, email updates, social media, website management and updates, and press releases.
• Plan and promote Chamber events, programs, and networking opportunities that enhance member visibility and engagement.
• Serve as the public face of the Chamber—delivering compelling presentations and community messages. Leadership Program Support
• Support and help coordinate the Brown County LEADS Program in partnership with the OSU Extension Office and community stakeholders. Collaboration & Governance
• Work closely with the Board and Executive Team to support effective governance and decision-making.
• Engage and support volunteer leaders, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. Position Details

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Background or experience in business, economic development, marketing, or a related field
• Experience working with or supporting small businesses or a Chamber of Commerce
• Prior leadership or management experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
