PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

to join their growing team! The primary responsibility of a

PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

is to set up and operate metal-cutting machinery to build tools and parts of various machinery. When not operating machine, candidate will be required to work on the assembly line.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operating CNC punch, CNC laser punch and CNC press brake. Load programs using required software applicable to the equipment utilized. Program basic parts and geometries using the machine control. Select and load tooling for punching or bending. Change laser consumables and set up for operation. Load materials into machines Remove scrap, cutting dross, and slag to the appropriate bins. Effectively communicate issues to the CNC programmer and maintenance. Perform basic operator preventative maintenance. Shaking out parts when necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school Diploma or Equivalent Previous CNC operator experience and/or metal fabrication experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of punching and forming tools used in CNC Punching and Bending Blueprint reading and mechanical abilities. Use measurement tools, including calipers, tape measure, and go-no-go gauges. Must be able to drive stand-up reach lift truck and pass PIT certification as needed. Experience in Nesting parts in a programmed machine is preferred. Math Skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, decimals, and fractions. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance with CNC and computer-based system experience Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized standard methods and procedures Must have excellent quality, safety, and attendance record Experience and training in LOTO PHYSICAL

Pay Details:
