Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Pressman to join our production team on 1st shift. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial web presses while ensuring high-quality print production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in overseeing make-readies, maintaining production efficiency, minimizing waste, and ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Schedule 1st Shift Full-time Primary Responsibilities Lead all press setups, including mounting plates, adjusting registration, setting ink keys, and bringing jobs up to color standards Operate commercial web presses safely and efficiently throughout production runs Make final quality decisions regarding color, registration, density, and overall print appearance Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, print quality, or material issues during production Direct and support 2nd Pressmen and roll tenders to ensure smooth workflow and productivity Perform advanced press adjustments, calibrations, and routine preventative maintenance Maintain production pace while minimizing spoilage and waste Complete job tickets, production reports, and required quality documentation accurately Communicate effectively with supervisors, scheduling, maintenance, and quality teams regarding production status and concerns Follow all safety procedures and company policies Qualifications Proven experience operating commercial web presses from setup through completed production runs Experience with Heidelberg and Goss Web Presses strongly preferred Strong understanding of color quality, registration, density, and print standards Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot press and print quality issues Strong mechanical aptitude with experience performing press adjustments and maintenance Leadership experience directing or mentoring press crew members preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed in a production environment Benefits Affordable medical insurance plans Dental and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contributions 401(k) savings plan with company match/contributions Company-paid life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Paid holidays and floating holidays Paid parental leave Additional voluntary benefit options Join a stable and growing manufacturing environment where quality, teamwork, and craftsmanship are highly valued.
