Employment:

Full-time Make an impact from day one Assemble and test relief/control valves against OEM specs, ASME codes, and National Board standards.

Perform repairs end-to-end:

teardown, sandblasting, lapping, tagging, sealing, and reassembly. Document all work precisely in Caltrol's software and verify each unit's conformity to customer requirements. Clean, decontaminate, and evaluate serviceable parts using approved methods and tools. Support both shop and field operations; travel locally to customer sites for teardown, repair, and pickups/deliveries. Operate test benches, impact wrenches, hand tools, overhead cranes, and forklifts safely. Keep the shop running smoothly with regular equipment upkeep. Grow your proficiency through hands-on experience with pressure protection systems. Compensation and schedule

Hiring Range:

$23.00-$25.00/hour. Final pay is based on internal equity, geography, skills, qualifications, and experience, aligned with job requirements.

Hours:

6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Overtime is routine and may come with little notice; during outages, expect 60+ hours and weekends. Travel Some local travel; periodic overnight trips for training or remote customer support. What you'll need Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with internal teams and customers. Valid CA driver's license and an acceptable driving history. Willingness to work weekends and overtime as customer demand requires. Comfort with basic computer tasks and digital documentation. Ability to safely use a broad set of tools and test equipment; confident with cranes and forklifts. Eligibility to obtain a TWIC within 60 days (Caltrol pays the cost). Solid work ethic and dependability.

Preferred:

Mechanical aptitude and hand-tool experience; skill reading IOMs/assembly manuals. Working conditions Consistent use of PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, FR clothing, safety-toe footwear, hearing/respiratory protection, etc.). Lift/move up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing/walking (up to 8 hours).
