Job Description

Who We Are Brook Behavioral Health is a growing outpatient behavioral health program in Abington, Massachusetts, offering Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services for individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Our compassionate, client-centered approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and a commitment to long-term recovery and stability. Position Summary Brook Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed, experienced therapist to support our adult clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in an outpatient setting. The successful candidate will be comfortable with group facilitation, individual therapy, treatment planning, and clinical documentation in accordance with Massachusetts 115 CMR 7 standards.
Note:
Candidate must be licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts and have prior experience in a substance use disorder (SUD) treatment setting. Key Responsibilities Facilitate evidence-based group therapy sessions for PHP/IOP clients. Provide weekly individual therapy for an assigned caseload. Complete intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and conduct regular plan updates. Maintain accurate, timely documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with 115 CMR 7 standards and payer regulations. Collaborate with medical staff, case managers, and support personnel to ensure integrated, client-centered care. Coordinate care with external providers or family, when appropriate and authorized by the client. Apply therapeutic interventions that incorporate motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care principles. Participate in weekly clinical meetings, case reviews, and staff supervision. Support discharge planning and ensure smooth transition of clients into aftercare. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, or a related mental health discipline. Active, license to practice in Massachusetts (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent). Experience in a substance abuse treatment setting is required. Skilled in treatment planning, psychosocial assessments, and clinical documentation. Knowledge of 115 CMR 7 standards requirements and experience in outpatient behavioral health settings. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Comfortable with managing a dynamic caseload of 18. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a PHP, IOP, or residential treatment setting preferred willing to provide supervision. Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and dual-diagnosis care. Understanding of trauma-informed practices and motivational interviewing techniques
Pay:
$58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
