About the Role Our Primary Therapists play a key role in a multidisciplinary treatment team , providing direct care through individual and group therapy, collaborating with families, and helping maintain a therapeutic community setting. Responsibilities Include:

Serve as the primary clinician for a small caseload of clients. Collaborate with addiction medicine physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, neuropsychologists, and milieu staff. Facilitate individual and group therapy , including DBT and process groups. Maintain timely and accurate documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries). Engage in weekly clinical supervision and team case consultations. Provide weekly family and referent communication , as clinically indicated. Incorporate feedback-informed care and progress monitoring. Contribute to a warm, safe, and engaged healing community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree required (PsyD, LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW preferred). Licensed in California preferred; pre-licensed candidates will be considered . Experience with primary substance use disorder treatment required. Experience in residential or PHP levels of care strongly preferred

Highly Desired Expertise:

Sex addiction (especially CSAT-certified) Process addictions (e.g., gambling) Somatic Experiencing (SEP certification preferred) Neurofeedback or biofeedback Cognitive remediation therapy

DBT , CBT , ACT , IFS

, or Motivational Interviewing Familiarity with DSM-5 , including complex and severe mental illnesses (e.g., Bipolar, Psychotic Disorders) Understanding of both 12-step and non-12-step recovery models (e.g., SMART Recovery, Recovery Dharma)
