Job Description
Position Overview:
The Therapist plans, directs, and coordinates treatment for patients in inpatient and/or outpatient SUD and mental health programs. Inspires and motivates patients to help them develop tools to work toward recovery using evidence-based and person-centered practices. Delivers individual and group therapy as well as family coaching and support. Coordinates care with the multidisciplinary treatment team.Specific Responsibilities:
Evaluate patient' mental and physical health, substance use, or needs and assess their readiness for treatment Work with patients and the multidisciplinary team to develop treatment goals, documented in a treatment plan Utilize Measurement-Based Care (MBC) screeners to assess patients, integrates results into treatment planning, and leverages data to track progress and influence care decisions. Review and recommend treatment options with patients and their families that support full continuum of care. Help patients develop skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their SUD and/or mental illness Work with patients to identify behaviors or situations that interfere with their recovery Educate families about SUD and mental illness and help them develop strategies to cope with those problems Make recommendations for discharge and aftercare planning and work with Case Management team to ensure safe and adequate care following discharge Complete all required documentation in a timely manner Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.Education and Experience:
Master's degree or above in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required Licensure as a (e.g., MHC, LAC, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, LSW, LMSW, LCSW, Psychologist, or equivalent) preferred. Florida -- If not licensed, CAC or Registered Interns (RMHCI, RCSWI, RMFTI) required. CAP or MCAP preferred. Maryland -- Masters's-level licensed clinician preferred. If not Masters-level licensed clinician, Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) status required. One to three years of experience in behavioral healthcare or substance abuse settings serving culturally diverse populations preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects under pressure. Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Exhibits excellent customer relations skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, residents, visitors, families, and referral sources.Competencies:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Travel:
