Jart+, the DECIEM family of brands, including The Ordinary and NIOD, and BALMAIN Beauty. ## Description The Global Clinical and Consumer Science (GCCS) Department within R D is engaged in conducting clinical / consumer studies at the Melville facility for evaluation of benefits of ELC's skincare and makeup products to support competitive claims. This position serves a key role in assisting R D scientists in the daily execution of human clinical studies. As a hands-on role in a laboratory setting, the position offers exposure to diverse study methods, cutting-edge instrumentation and an opportunity to interact with a diverse population of human panelists, while working within a collaborative team. ## Qualifications Associate Degree in Science or related field 2-5 Years Experience Full time on-site role with direct engagement in skincare and makeup product testing to support claims, working within a dynamic team environment.
Must-Have Core Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team and while interfacing with external participants in human clinical studies
  • Proficiency with instruments and electronic systems, with strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate independently under fast timelines and dynamic conditions
  • Proficient organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in testing techniques without compromising quality or compliance
  • Adept at preparing clear, accurate documentation in compliance with GxP and ALCOA+ principles
  • Ability to support extended day studies as needed (11- 8 pm)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Makeup artistry
  • Exposure to clinical environment or aesthetic dermatology
  • Familiarity with GCP / GxP Essential operational functions include:
  • Execute study-related activities under supervision of the Scientist (informed consent, eligibility verification, imaging, instrumental measurements)
  • Independently prepare and review study documentation based on the study protocol
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments
  • Facilitate daily operations of laboratory by management of lab supplies and equipment
  • Provide operational support for extended or evening clinical studies to validate long-wearing performance claims
  • Collect data on human subjects and maintain detailed documentation in accordance with Good Clinical Practices, data integrity principles, and company's SOPs
  • Perform post-study tasks, such as organizing documents, binder compilation, and review for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor and identify panelist-related concerns, such as adverse product reactions or compliance issues, and promptly escalate these matters to the Supervisor to ensure the integrity and accuracy of clinical testing outcomes
  • Troubleshoot and escalate instrumentation issues as needed
  • Ensure all training, including SOPs, GCP, GxP, is completed as per training schedule
Pay Range:
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
