The Printer Feeder Operator plays a key role in supporting press operations by ensuring materials are properly prepared, fed, and monitored throughout the printing process. This position contributes directly to production efficiency, product quality, and safety standards. On a typical day, the operator reviews job tickets, prepares feeder systems, assists with ink verification, and closely monitors press performance to maintain consistent output. The role requires attention to detail, coordination with team members, and adherence to customer specifications and production timelines. How you will impactSmurfit Westrock:
Review and interpret job tickets to determine sheet size, quantities, and ink specifications Assist in verifying that supplied ink matches job ticket requirements Adjust feeder settings to maximize production efficiency during press runs Mount printing plates onto the press accurately and safely Monitor product quality continuously to ensure customer specifications are met Complete required production and quality documentation accurately Optimize feeder settings for safety, quality, and productivity Operate feeder console and auxiliary controls effectively Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment Support team operations by completing additional duties as assigned What you need to succeed: Previous printing press experience required Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to bend, twist, and kneel throughout shift Manual dexterity to grasp, pull, and push materials Ability to work at or below shoulder levelPreferred:
