Prior Authorization Specialist (In-House)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to manage prior authorizations, referrals, and medical record coordination to support continuity of care and accurate reimbursement. Pay & Schedule Competitive starting wage of $16.68+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Full-time, Monday-Friday

• Clinics close at 2:00 pm every Friday.

Responsibilities Obtain, process, and track prior authorizations for referrals and diagnostic imaging Coordinate with insurance companies, hospitals, and specialty providers Close referral loops and follow up on consult notes and results Manage incoming lab results, imaging reports, faxes, and medical records within the EMR Process pharmacy refill requests and provider communications Review records for completeness and retrieve missing documentation Participate in quality improvement initiatives Requirements High school diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of EMR experience required 2+ years of patient-facing medical experience preferred Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, PPOs, and insurance processes preferred Family practice or hospital experience preferred Benefits at Konza Prairie Community Health Center Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
