• Part-time Oxford Learning Source is looking to hire two, part-time teachers for the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

The position will begin in August. The first is an upper-grade, English Teacher position. The second is for a lower-grade Homeroom Teacher position. The English Teacher position involves teaching small groups of high school students pre-prepared, custom-tailored curriculum, based on testing, and some elective-type classes. The Homeroom Teacher position involves teaching fundamental reading, writing, and math to our lower grades, as well as elective-type classes; these classes are more basic, as they target our younger students. These are the perfect positions for someone looking for a fun, rewarding, part-time job, looking to use or gain teaching experience, or someone who would like to have their evenings, Fridays, holidays, and summers off. We are a private academy and tutoring service, focusing on small group, personalized, direct-instruction. Teachers teach groups of students with a maximum ratio of 6 to 1. All curricula for the core classes are pre-made for our teachers in our academy, with materials provided. The required hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30

• 12:30 for the English Teacher position, and 8:30-1:30 for the Homeroom Teacher position, with additional time for prep as needed.

Responsibilities include:

Instructing small groups of students at all levels through hour-long classes. Confidently explaining and teaching Language Arts. Maintaining a comfortable, controlled class.

Qualifications:

A degree in an appropriate field is preferred, but a specialty will work. Teaching experience or a certificate are not necessary; you will be trained in all areas before starting. Please send a resume to the provided email with a short introduction or cover letter.
