Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated PRN Hospital Medicine Physician to provide flexible, high-quality inpatient care for our 7 bed ICU program at Charles Regional for the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with inpatient management, ideally including procedural experience . This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care excellence while maintaining a flexible schedule. Duties Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including initial assessments, ongoing management, and discharge planning for hospitalized patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the highest standards of patient safety and quality. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and other EMR platforms to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Perform procedures or willing to train. Conduct clinical evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory results, and diagnostic radiology to inform treatment decisions. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies while ensuring patient confidentiality and safety. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution with active medical licensure in the relevant state or region. Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine. Proven experience in hospital medicine with familiarity in inpatient care settings. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms is advantageous. Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway procedures, and neurocritical care is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to adapt quickly to different hospital environments while maintaining high standards of patient service and safety.
