POSITION PURPOSE
To identify, develop, oversee, and maintain successful relationships with key customers and personnel at Home Depot in a manner that maximizes sales of the American Woodmark portfolio of products and services to Home Depot Pro customers.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

Experience & Education
  • Proven track record in sales with up to 3 years of successful sales or new business development experience
  • Undergraduate degree: experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with Professional Contractors or within Project Management is preferred
  • Kitchen and bath cabinet experience including product knowledge is a plusSkills
  • Ability to disseminate and utilize needed information from blueprints and schematics, including measuring
  • Drive, determination, and discipline of a self-starter
  • Proactive, go-getter approach focused on cold calling and generating new leads
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with external and internal groups
  • Energy and focus to be goals and results orientated
  • Excellent planning and organization skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Conflict resolution over sensitive or complex issues, with demonstrated decision-making skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Proficient use of CRM (Salesforce) is a plus
Language Skills:
  • Ability to read, and interpret common business documents including technical reports, charts, graphs, and diagrams.
Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers/clients, members of the business community and public.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Identify, develop, and implement a strategy that results in enhanced relationships between Home Depot and their Pro customers resulting in incremental sales growth for American Woodmark Pro products
  • Responsible for sales and services related to Pro sales in assigned territory
  • Responsible for all new Pro business development planning and execution
  • Develop business relationships with client territory and Outside Sales Representatives (OSR)
  • Work with existing field sales team to grow overall understanding and identify Pro sales opportunities
  • Demonstrate and utilize effective time management and priority selling skills to maximize productivity and call efficiency
  • Develop and manage marketing, travel, and entertainment costs to maximize the growth of territory sales
  • Diagnose, resolve, and communicate customer concerns and resolutions regarding service and warranty issues
  • Conduct comparative analysis on competitor designs and quotes to convert potential sales
  • Gain understanding of competitors within the marketplace and provide reporting back in terms of product, pricing, and promotions
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Achieve sales, expense, and transactional quality targets
  • Develop and execute OSR call strategies
  • Maintain and Manage business relationships with key customers
  • Execute marketing programs and promotions
  • Organize and participate in Managed Account Events (MAE) within territory
  • Mediation of service and warranty issues
  • Monitor and act on all territory metric reporting
  • Maintain and promote a team environment among all American Woodmark personnel
  • Analyze designs and provide feedback for alternative solutions for cost effectiveness
  • Mediation of service and warranty issues
  • Align with American Woodmark policies and procedures in performing responsibilities of job
  • Be a model of the American Woodmark culture
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Typically, this position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
SCOPE & EXPECATIONS
    Territory:
    Covers the entire established Region(s)
    • Reports to: Pro Sales Manager
    Travel Requirements:
    • Some in and out of town travel is required up to 60% (varies by territory/region).
    • Travel is typically by company car and commercial air carrier.
    • Typically, offices will be out of a private home, and hours will vary as necessitated by business.
    • The recruitment process may consist of any combination of phone, video and in-person interviews.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Must be able to lift 50 pounds overhead.
    • Must have valid driver's license and no record of previous suspensions/revocations within the last 3 years, along with no more than 3 moving violations in the last year.
    • Offers may be contingent upon successful completion of Background Check, Drug Screen, Physical Examination and/or potential Motor Vehicle Check.
