Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented seasoned Probate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will assist attorneys with all aspects of estate administration, including probate proceedings, estate planning, and related legal research. Your proactive approach and strong understanding of legal procedures will ensure smooth case management and efficient client service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in legal documentation, research, and project coordination will make a meaningful impact. Must have at least one-year experience in Probate. Civil Litigation background is also a plus! Responsibilities Prepare and file probate documents, including petitions, inventories, and accountings, ensuring compliance with court requirements Conduct thorough legal research on estate laws, tribal regulations, UCC law, and other relevant legal areas to support case development Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw for accurate record-keeping and data entry Assist with estate planning tasks by drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related legal documents Interview clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for case progression Review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procedural standards while proofreading and editing as needed Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, and government agencies to facilitate filings and obtain necessary documentation Support attorneys with litigation preparation by organizing exhibits, drafting pleadings, and managing deadlines Skills Extensive knowledge of estate planning, probate procedures, UCC law, tribal law & regulations, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, and litigation practices Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for comprehensive case analysis Experience with legal case management software including iManage and PCLaw; familiarity with document review and management systems Strong project management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy law office environment Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy Effective interviewing techniques to gather detailed client information while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality Superior organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail in filing and data entry Exceptional clerical experience including phone etiquette, administrative support tasks such as transcription and filing Join our team if you are passionate about helping clients navigate complex estate matters!
