  • Full-time The Opportunity Precious Plate is hiring a Process Engineer to join our team.
As a Process Engineer, you will be Responsible for developing and optimizing our electroplating processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. This is a full-time position, working from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, reporting to the Engineering Director.
Salary Range:
$75,000
  • $115,000 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, precious metals, etc.
Analyze scrap and improve the production plating process to increase efficiency. Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Develop appropriate processes through hands-on experiments to meet or exceed customer plating specifications. Process engineering development for electroplating metals on various products. Address all CAR's & customer complaints prior to production planning. Project leader for new initiatives and improvement projects. Prepares Shop travelers and helps with job planners as needed. Order new tooling when a new part is assigned. Trouble shooting and line audits. Follows all
ISO & TS
systems and procedures. Maintains quality of product as outlined on product/manufacturing work instructions. Works in teams of several workers or alone as directed. Using experience to train line operators when the opportunity is available. Supports company production goals. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 5+ years related manufacturing experience. Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output. Oral and written communication skills. Computer literate (excel, word) and be able to easily pick up our in-house programs. Ability to identify and resolve process problems. Advanced math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and decimals. Ability to work independently and perform cooperatively with others. Working Conditions Regularly works with chemical solutions. Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature. Safety glasses and steel or composite toe boots required.
