Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and manage all purchasing and procurement activities for the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services and managing vendors. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the highest quality of goods and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet company needs and achieve cost-saving targets. Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the most favorable agreements.
Purchasing Operations:
Oversee and manage the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, from requisition to final delivery and invoice resolution. Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and change notices. Track and monitor orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
Supplier & Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews (scorecards, KPIs) to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards. Manage and mitigate supply chain risks.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information. Prepare and present reports on purchasing activity, spend analysis, and cost savings to management. Inventory & Budget Management (as applicable): Collaborate with inventory management teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize obsolescence. Assist in developing the annual procurement budget.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
[5]+ years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with [2]+ years in a management or leadership capacity.
Skills:
Proven negotiation skills and the ability to close complex deals. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and ERP/Procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct spend analysis and identify savings opportunities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) Professional certification such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM). Experience in the construction industry is preferred]. Familiarity with international trade and import/export regulations.
