The Opportunity Global Procurement is seeking a Procurement Manager, Direct Services to develop and lead procurement strategies supporting Abbott's Toxicology and Consumer Business. In this role, you will partner closely with the Toxicology Business Unit to drive cost optimization, supplier alignment, and long-term value across a complex, highly regulated global environment. What You'll Work On Develop and execute global category strategies across Direct Services with measurable business impact Partner with Corporate and Division stakeholders to identify requirements and drive cost-reduction initiatives Lead competitive sourcing events including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs from strategy through implementation Leverage analytics and market intelligence to optimize supplier performance and total cost of ownership Lead cross-functional project teams and manage multiple complex sourcing initiatives simultaneously Conduct fact-based negotiations with senior supplier executives and manage contractual risk Prepare dashboards, reports, and insights to influence stakeholders and senior leadership Support contract development, statements of work, and procurement policies in collaboration with Legal, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and scalability Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned categories and mentor peers on sourcing strategies Required Qualifications Completion of a bachelor's degree or current enrollment toward a bachelor's degree 4-6 years of procurement and/or operations experience, preferably within drug testing, sample collection, medical review, third-party lab management, or occupational health Experience working in a highly regulated, matrixed environment, ideally within healthcare Knowledge of privacy and data protection requirements (PII, HIPAA, PCI, PHI) Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and tools such as Power BI or Minitab Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% annually Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical, Laboratory Sciences, Healthcare, or a technical discipline 6-8 years of procurement and/or operations experience in relevant Direct Services categories Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement certification or experience Experience with procurement platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Sage, or Provalido Strong negotiation skills with deep understanding of contract structures and terms Proven change management and influencing capabilities Advanced proficiency across Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Outlook) Demonstrated project management strength, initiative, and problem-solving skills Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.com Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life. The base pay for this position is $99,300.00 - $198,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
