    Production Associate
  • Job Description
  • As a Production Associate, you will play a vital role in packaging and preparing hay and hay-based products for shipment. You will ensure all products meet quality and weight standards while supporting a safe, efficient, and positive production environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Package hay-based products to meet established quality and weight specifications.
+ Operate packaging and production line equipment safely and efficiently. + Follow all safety and food safety protocols at all times. + Maintain required production rates and support line changes as needed. + Set up and adjust machines to support continuous production. + Assist with general production tasks, including loading, picking, and assembly line work. + Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical or process issues on the line. + Communicate equipment or production issues promptly to supervisors or leads. + Handle and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment where qualified. + Support a clean, organized, and team-oriented work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Essential Skills
  • + 3+ years of experience in general production or as a general production worker.
+ 2+ years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment. + Previous production or warehouse experience preferred. + Experience with machine operation, machine setup, and production line work. + Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and up to 100 lbs for bulk products, including overhead lifting. + Comfortable standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to work in dusty environments and around hay-based materials. + Ability to read and follow instructions in English. + Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills. + Experience with general labor tasks such as packaging, packing, picking, loading, and assembly.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus. + Experience with assembly lines and general production work. + Comfort working in environments with varying temperatures. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting. + Willingness to follow established safety and food safety procedures consistently. + Flexibility to support overtime or additional days as needed, including Fridays.

  • Work Environment
  • This role is based in a fast-paced, team-oriented production facility focused on hay and hay-based products.
You will work around hay, dust, and varying temperatures, with a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The typical schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with Fridays worked as needed. You will use production line and packaging equipment and may operate forklifts or pallet jacks where qualified. The facility promotes supportive leadership and a culture that values open communication. Appropriate work clothes and personal protective equipment are required and are aligned with working in a dusty, production-focused environment.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $18.34 - $19.34/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
