Job Description

Summary:
Responsible for utilizing technical manufacturing and automated machine skills to plan, set up, and optimize automated production machines to achieve or exceed production performance goals across all shifts. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Physically perform machine preventative maintenance and cleaning, and work with Process Engineer to ensure that Maintenance department functions are performed proactively to ensure that specified automated machines are kept in peak operating condition.
  • 2. Optimize and stabilize production programs, with guidance of Process Engineer, to ensure maximum machine uptime during low-support hours .
  • 3. Physically set up automated machines with production plans, materials, tooling, etc. so that production teams can successfully execute shift plan/weekend plan with minimal intervention.
  • 4. Successfully communicates to production teams a detailed and executable production plan to ensure maximum machine uptime with minimal confusion.
  • 5. With assistance of Process Engineer, offer reasonable after-hours machine troubleshooting support to production team.
  • 6. Performs all necessary dimensional and quality validation processes to ensure automated machines are making conforming product.
  • (First piece inspection, sampling plans, etc.) 7. With assistance of Process Engineer, physically manage inventories of machine consumables, tooling, spare parts, etc.

Proactively communicate best-practice and programming improvement suggestions back to the programmers, under the guidance of the Process Engineer. 9. Keep capable automation machines operating during production hours, AND willingly assist production with other machine operation as available as time allows. 10. With assistance of Process Engineer, train production personnel on basic automated machine functionality, troubleshooting and necessary job/process specific instructions. 11. Occasional participation in offsite travel and to receive technical training and identify new opportunities to improve production practices. 12. Maintains a clean and highly organized work area. 13. Demonstrates drive and commitment on a daily basis to fulfill the Production Team's goals based on meeting customer expectations in a professional manner and with a sense of urgency. 14. Responsible for absolute compliance and promotion of company safety and PPE requirements. 15. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD LT, Solid Works, Microsoft Outlook, and OEM Programming Software(s) as applicable to area of focus.
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (A.
A. / A. S.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
  • Technical setup, programming, and operation of CNC and manual equipment
  • Training and/or experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or comparable methodology
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
