Blum, TX Summary Job Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of materials and product for the Operations of DynaEnergetics US. They are also responsible for inventory control measures, quality inspection assistance, and that all work performed is done in a safe and efficient manner. The responsibilities also include ensuring all traceability and inventory documentation is in place and maintained. This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime pay when pre-approved by Management. Responsibilities Serve as a professional representative of DMC/DynaEnergetics within the local community, upholding the companys values, safety standards, and quality objectives. Perform daily activities utilizing the SAP inventory control system and other ERP tools to manage inventory and track production progress. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with supervisors, co -workers, and customers to align on production goals, timelines, and any challenges. Assist in production control activities to meet business and financial objectives, ensuring that targets are achieved efficiently and on time. Work with Managers to plan and manage production tasks, optimize schedules, and improve runtime. Review production plans, identify potential risks or delays, and report findings to the Manager with recommended corrective actions. Develop and implement inventory control strategies to prevent shortages, overproduction, and excess inventory. Assist in processing customer orders and shipments according to established schedules, ensuring on -time delivery and customer satisfaction. Support Managers in controlling production costs while maintaining quality standards. Release production orders, establish priorities, and adjust schedules as directed by the buyer/planner, ensuring smooth workflows. Monitor job order execution, adjusting schedules as needed to ensure on -time delivery and product quality. Stay up -to-date with company objectives, production strategies, and supporting activities to ensure alignment with production requirements. Plan and monitor material, equipment, and manpower movement throughout the production cycles to ensure continuous operations. Collaborate with Managers to resolve production planning issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption. Work with Managers to prepare, review, and approve job order documents, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Collaborate with cross -functional teams (Quality Control, Engineering, etc.) to ensure job orders are completed on time and meet customer specifications. Regularly communicate production updates to Managers, highlighting any challenges and proposed solutions. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and report any safety hazards during production. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize operations. Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production efficiency and recommend improvements. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. May be required to work overtime, holidays and weekends. Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with courses. Associates or bachelors degree preferred. Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred; 2 yrs desired) Must be able to pass ATF clearance check Record Keeping Inventory Audits Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products are required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively with cross[1]functional teams. Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems. Experience in manufacturing production coordination or a similar role. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment. Problem -solving skills and ability to handle production challenges efficiently. Familiarity with safety regulations and production quality standards. Attention to detail and accuracy in production planning and documentation. Physical Demands & Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to loud noise levels; fumes or airborne particles; noxious odors; vibrations from driving and traffic. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
