Qualifications:
Employee must have the ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift to 50 lbs. occasionally. All required PPE will be provided by the company with the exception of the safety toe shoes which the employee is responsible and must be available on first day.
Responsibilities:
  • The individual in this role will be responsible for the cleaning in an industrial manufacturing environment which involves plant equipment and floors.
  • The work will be primarily inside the plant but based on seasonal weather conditions, the individual may be exposed to both hot and cold temperatures.
  • The environment will consist of dry, dusty conditions.
  • Proper and safe cleaning techniques requires the individual to use different methods of cleaning such as hand cloths, hand / telescopic duster, hand brooms, push brooms, vacuum systems, and air wand attachments.
  • Consistent and proper use of PPE will be required while on the plant floor and completing the cleaning tasks.
  • Standard PPE requirements consist of hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, ANSI 2 Hi-Viz vest / clothing, and steel toe shoes.
  • In addition to these PPE requirements, a dust mask is required to be worn in these areas to prevent dust inhalation hazards.
Special note / comment:
  • An additional responsibility may include monitoring a portable material hopper that has a constant flow of screened paper from the process.
  • The frequency of this task is estimated at 20-30 minutes and will require attention to manage and maintain an equal level of paper material in the hopper using a shovel.
  • Once the material in the hopper has reached the established capacity, then notify a specified Production operator so the portable hopper can be removed and the contents disposed of properly.
