Job Description:

The Production Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the machine shop. This role focuses primarily on cleaning and upkeep of machines, equipment, tools, and shop areas to support efficient production operations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. What will my responsibilities include? Perform regular cleaning of CNC machines, tooling, and related equipment, including chip removal, wipe-downs, and coolant/oil cleanup. Empty waste containers, and recycling areas as required. Inspect equipment during cleaning for signs of wear, leaks, or potential maintenance issues and report findings to supervisors or maintenance personnel. Assist with preventive maintenance tasks such as filter replacement, and coolant management (as trained). Follow all shop safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures (when required), and safe handling of chemicals and cleaning products. Maintain cleaning logs, supply inventories, and documentation as needed. Support machine operators with basic shop tasks when requested. Help ensure compliance with 5S or other organizational standards for cleanliness and efficiency. Other duties as assigned What key skills and experience do I need? Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization. Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage time effectively. Able to lift 40-50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position works in the machine shop environment throughout the workday. This environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, etc. Individuals must stand for much of the workday. Work activities involve combinations of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and carrying and standing for extended periods and performing some very repetitive activities. Work requires the ability to see, hear and smell in order to detect problems. The work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Salary Offering:

$22.00 per hour to $27.00 per hour Shift available: M-TH, 6:00am
