Job Description

As a Team Leader, you are the heartbeat of the shop floor. You serve as the first-line supervisor, managing production activities for a specific area. You aren t just watching the clock; you are managing people, optimizing workflows, and ensuring that every product leaving your department is built to save lives. You will be responsible for job assignments, training, and ensuring that our production deadlines are met without compromising our culture of positive employee relations.
Essential Responsibilities Leadership & Training:
Train workers on departmental procedures and ensure team members maintain peak training capabilities.
Safety First:
Ensure every employee abides by safety regulations and guidelines-no exceptions.
Production Management:
Assign daily work, fill in for absences, and manage day-to-day execution requirements to meet deadlines.
Problem Solving:
Act as the primary point of contact for daily issues, escalating personnel or production hurdles to the Supervisor or Manager in a timely manner.
Quality Control:
Sort and dispense non-conforming materials according to QC guidelines and maintain a clean, debris-free environment.
Administration:
Maintain accurate time, production, and metric records; complete all paperwork with precision.
Continuous Improvement:
Always look for a better way. You will champion continuous process improvement to keep our facility world-class.
Required Qualifications Experience:
2-5 years in a lead or supervisory position within a manufacturing environment.
Education:
High School diploma or GED required (Associate s degree preferred).
Technical:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with
IBM AS-400
is a major plus.
Skills:
Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations with high accuracy. Physical Requirements This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.
You must be able to:
Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Perform repetitive bending, stooping, and lifting. Work comfortably in a moderate-to-loud industrial environment with exposure to weather or dusty conditions.
Work Schedule Shift:
Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!).
Flexibility:
