Manufacturing / Production BlueWorx is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing production activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing production teams, and ensuring operational goals related to safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and cost are achieved. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven manufacturing leader with strong supervisory skills, operational knowledge, and a passion for continuous improvement. Position Overview The Production Manager provides hands-on leadership for production operations while coordinating activities related to safety, scheduling, maintenance, employee development, inventory control, and process improvement. This role works closely with cross-functional departments to ensure efficient production flow, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Management Plan, organize, and direct daily production operations Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met Monitor quality, efficiency, and yield performance across departments Coordinate production priorities based on materials, equipment efficiency, and deadlines Support new product introductions, process changes, and operational improvements Leadership & Employee Development Recruit, train, and develop production team members Set expectations and monitor employee performance Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement Continuous Improvement Lead continuous improvement initiatives using: Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma Kaizen methodologies Encourage fact-based problem-solving and process optimization Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements Inventory & Budget Management Ensure raw material and finished goods inventory accuracy Support departmental budgeting and capital expenditure planning Manage spending in relation to production volume and operational goals Safety & Compliance Promote and maintain a strong safety culture Address safety concerns proactively and ensure compliance with company policies Maintain housekeeping and environmental standards throughout production areas Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in business, manufacturing, or technical field preferred Minimum 4-8 years of manufacturing leadership experience Experience in: Production management Manufacturing operations Employee supervision Continuous improvement initiatives Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability Proficiency with: Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies preferred Core Competencies Leadership and employee development Production planning and operations management Continuous improvement and process optimization Budget and inventory management Communication and cross-functional collaboration Safety and environmental compliance Work Environment Manufacturing plant environment Frequent interaction with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams Fast-paced operational setting with changing production priorities Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Production efficiency and schedule attainment Safety and compliance performance Inventory accuracy Cost reduction and productivity improvements Quality and customer service metrics #AECSimilar jobs in Weatherford, OK
