Job Title:
Production Operator Job Description The Production Operator monitors and supports automated machinery that manufactures boxes for oil and tissue paper products. This role focuses on keeping production lines running smoothly by clearing jams, removing paper when needed, and hand stacking finished boxes on load formers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Monitor production machines that manufacture boxes for oil and tissue paper products to ensure consistent and efficient operation. Observe equipment performance and promptly identify issues such as jams, misfeeds, or irregularities in the production process. Safely remove paper and other materials when machines become jammed to restore normal operation. Hand stack finished boxes onto load formers in an organized and stable manner to prepare for packaging or shipping. Follow established manufacturing procedures and guidelines to maintain product quality and operational safety. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions to support safe and efficient production. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about equipment issues, production status, and any safety concerns. Adhere to all safety protocols and use equipment and machinery in a safe and responsible manner. Essential Skills Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Willingness to work in a warm environment and remain comfortable and focused in heat, with access to spot cooling areas. Capability to monitor machines continuously and respond quickly to production issues such as jams. Physical ability to hand stack boxes and handle materials safely and efficiently. Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production across rotating or fixed shifts. Attention to detail to ensure boxes are stacked correctly and machines operate within expected parameters. Entry-level manufacturing or production aptitude, with a readiness to learn machine operation and safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment is beneficial but not required. Comfort working with automated machinery and basic mechanical processes. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other production staff. Ability to adapt to different shifts and maintain productivity in a fast-paced setting. Why Work Here? Production Operators work on one of three shifts: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The role involves standing for extended periods, moving materials, and hand stacking boxes, requiring adherence to standard manufacturing attire and safety guidelines appropriate for an industrial setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richland, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
