Schedule:
6AM-2:30PM Position Summary This non-exempt position is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Under close supervision, the role involves performing a combination of assembly, repair, and testing operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device components. Work is completed according to standardized procedures and is closely reviewed for accuracy and quality. Key Responsibilities Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations following established procedures Ensure all job documentation related to cell operations is accurate and up to date Maintain accurate records to support product traceability and quality assurance Communicate effectively with manufacturing management, both verbally and in writing Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes Support achievement of quality, productivity, and profitability metrics Collaborate with supervisors/managers to set and monitor individual and team performance goals Support divisional initiatives, including compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with internal and external customers (e.g., tours) Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles Familiarity with electronic data collection systems and standard computer software Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Ability to handle small components with precision Capable of making sound decisions with minimal supervision Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to handle and maneuver small parts and components Must adhere to cleanroom and manufacturing environment standards Work is performed under close supervision with ongoing review Dress Code & Grooming Requirements To maintain product integrity and safety within the production environment, strict dress code guidelines apply:Clothing Requirements:
Must be clean, non-shedding, and free of frayed hems or loose threads Prohibited items include tassels, fringe, glitter, sequins, or anything that may shed particles Loose fiber garments (e.g., sweaters, fleece, loose knits) are not permitted Clothing must fit under lab coats/gowns; sleeves and necklines must not extend beyond them Torsos, upper arms, and legs must be fully coveredProhibited:
sleeveless tops, cropped shirts, skirts above the ankle, pants above the ankle Ankle-length skirts are permitted only with full-length stockings, leggings, or pants underneathHeadwear:
Hats, caps, scarves, or bandanas are not permitted under bouffant caps Cultural head coverings must be tightly woven, clean, fully covered by the bouffant, and contained within the gownFootwear:
Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes required at all times Heel height must not exceed 2 inches Sandals, clogs, slippers, or open footwear are not allowed Socks or stockings must be worn Changing shoes is only permitted in designated gowning areasPersonal Grooming:
No nail polish, artificial nails, or similar coatings No jewelry or piercings that may compromise safety or cannot be covered Makeup is not permitted Unscented deodorant is allowed; other scented products are prohibited Lotions must not be applied after handwashing Lip balm (stick form) may be applied outside production areas before handwashing Open wounds must be covered with a bandageGeneral:
