$50000-65000 / year Job Description A production planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing manufacturing schedules to ensure efficient production processes. They analyze demand forecasts, manage inventory levels (raw material and finished goods) and collaborate with various departments to meet production goals. This role often involves developing production schedules, monitoring production processes and troubleshooting issues. Key Responsibilities, but not limited to: Creating and maintaining detailed production plans and schedules, often based on demand forecasts, sales history data and inventory levels. Monitoring stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring sufficient supply to meet production needs while minimizing waste and storage costs. Tracking production progress, identifying potential bottlenecks or delays and implementing solutions to keep the process running smoothly. Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure timely procurement of raw materials. Work closely with various teams, including production, procurement, design, and sales to ensure alignment and efficient workflow. Analyze production data, prepare reports on key performance indictors and identify areas for improvement. Be enthusiastic and be a positive, motivational team member.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to analyze data, identify trends and make informed decisions. Aptitude for identifying and resolving production related issues. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and maintain accurate records. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with various departments and management. Ability to adjust to changing production needs and respond to unexpected challenges. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred 5+ years of experience.
