SECOND SHIFT
- The Production Planner/Buyer organizes production according to demand and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Coordinate production workflow for multiple products Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations Schedule shift according to production needs Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.) Developing an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders Delivering a weekly purchase order report to supervisors that indicates the invoice number for all closed orders Assisting the Supply Chain Manager with maintaining inventory levels and materials on a regular basis Effectively communicating with the management team to ensure all orders are accurate Prepare and submit status and performance reports Keep inventory records up to date and organized Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staffSkills:
Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment. IT skills, especially using data analysis software and Microsoft Office. Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic. Ability to create and adhere to procedures. Ability to write reports legibly and accurately. Proven experience as production planner Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning) Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (SAP ByDesign) or similar Good at math and statistics Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication abilitiesRequirements:
- Associate degree in technology, engineering, or related fields; or 3 years of relevant experience working in manufacturing planning and/or facilities.
