6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through

Friday Pay Range:

The Dixon Group is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our Dixon Specialty Products team in Chestertown, MD! In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly—balancing customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to ensure on‑time delivery and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for a professional with experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys problem‑solving, collaboration, and working with cross‑functional teams.

What You'll Do:

Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and operational priorities Coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to align schedules with capacity and demand Monitor production progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or constraints Analyze material availability and inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production Create and maintain factory orders, routings, and production documentation Prepare and issue purchase orders to domestic and international vendors; ensure timely acknowledgment Maintain vendor pricing and support supply chain accuracy Utilize scheduling and ERP systems to track timelines, status, and performance metrics Prepare production and scheduling reports for management review Provide back‑up support to front desk operations as needed (phone and visitor reception) Adhere to all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards Perform additional related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in production scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, or manufacturing operations Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Proficiency with scheduling software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel required) Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
