Job Description
The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing production plans that ensure the timely manufacturing of products while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. This role balances demand forecasts, material availability, equipment capacity, and labor resources to create realistic daily, weekly, and monthly production schedule. Master Data Controller
- Production Scheduling
- + Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand, forecast, and inventory targets. + Ensure schedules align with capacity constraints and resource availability. + Adjust plans proactively for delays, equipment downtime, material shortages, or changes in customer demand.
- Work Order Management
- + Monitor, and close work orders according to production plan. + Ensure accuracy of routing, BOMs, quantities, and lead times in the ERP system. + Follow up on work-in-progress (WIP) and escalate issues impacting schedule adherence.
- Cross‑Functional Communication
- + Collaborate with production supervisors, quality and manufacturing engineering to ensure smooth execution of the plan. + Communicate priorities, schedule risks, and changes to all stakeholders. + Provide input during daily/weekly production meetings.
- Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- + Track schedule attainment, throughput, and capacity utilization. + Maintain planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, cycle times) in the ERP system. + Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in lean/Kaizen initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- + Associates degree preferred, or equivalent minimum of two (2) years' experience in planning a specialist role + Experience with ERP System.
